Sustainable Housing

Infused with history in an enchanted forest setting, our accommodations are built from local and sustainable materials that surround the main house.

We offer fashionable, simple, elegant and comfortable accommodations of international standards, at affordable prices.

A cultural and social approach

We want to showcase local culture and history in real time, while fostering connections and exchanges. As such, we partner with people of the neighbouring village in order to showcase their culture and talents.

Discover the beauty in dancing, pottery, or basket weaving, and truly delve into the world of the local people and their culture.

Reforestation & permaculture

We want to give you another vision of tourism: traveling to relax while discovering the joys of simple things such as new local flavours, or little known organic products.

With the assistance of an agronomist, we replant local species that have disappeared, new species suitable for the location, and soil in order to create an autonomous and harmonious forest-garden.

With permaculture, we are able to combine our vegetable garden and forest garden, in order to become self-sufficient in food, and have a surplus for sale.



We offer training and apprenticeship programs, equitable and gender-sensitive access to employment opportunities, and provide decent work and a livable wage.

Contribution to poverty reduction by providing employment.
We contribute to poverty reduction by providing employment, and provide clean foods and beverages in order to reduce inequality and make sure that no harm (ex: diseases) comes to the customer.

3 — Gender equality

Our core business goal and mission is to promote gender equality. Thus, we provide equal opportunities for women and make it a point to establish gender-inclusive work environments.
Amongst other things, we have put in place gender-sensitive career grievance mechanisms, flexible schedules to accommodate childcare, and policies and practices to prevent and address gender-based violence.

4 — Sustainable communities

We showcase local culture and history in real time by partnering with natives, and giving others the opportunity to foster connections and exchanges with them in an intimate setting.
Coupled with our excellent hospitality services, and the fresh air of the plants around the lodge, we are able to convince visitors of the Akagera National Park to stay in Rwinkwavu and enjoy our services.
